Our lives are a one line journey interconnected. The neon moments never last long, what quiet tranquility they cost us. Our expierences make us who we are, individual flowers of all kinds. Recovery is possible. Recovery is reality. A life journey in one line, all the seasons intertwined. We need eachother. Please do be kind. Together we will rise as the new born butterfly flies. Every morning with the sun we rise thankful for each happy surprise but mostly for the regular rythum line. A culture of adopting brings us beyond our fears and tears to the safety of the swell beyond the break line. In a haven of hope today we rise just as the butterfly flies.

An abstract expression of the sound wave in color. Each color represents an individual instrument. Starting at the left and moving to the right four seasons are expressed in a section of the 120 foot wall. Spring in orange and blue tones. The sound wave resembles a natural water wave and wraps unexpectedly around the building. The colors are drawn from the North Carolina sky and the spring Tiger lilies. Summer is expressed in a rapid pile of poured lines set as a sound wave which has been interrupted by a wall of invisible wind. This wall is such as a tornado interrupting a landscape; so also does a wall of sound transform a real sound wave. The colors are inspired by the vegetation which is specific to N.C. At the rise of summer we see purple, yellow, and Pink reflecting almost metallic tones of beauty into our eyes. The thirds section to the right is not as Europe or the northern canadian or American colors but rather the teal blues which form the Charlotte vegetation and light in the hight of the winter cold. Charlottes' tropical habitat leads to inspire a final section far right fo the mural. Autumn is Shown in tones of rust brown, black, gold and other minerals found in our rich soil. Thank you so kindly for the very artistic expression of abstract art in a public space.
